🌾 Compost Requirement
Button mushroom requires specially prepared compost containing materials such as:
➜ Wheat straw
➜ Poultry manure
➜ Gypsum
➜ Water
✔️ The compost must be properly fermented and pasteurized before spawning.

🌿 Casing
After spawn has completely colonized the compost:
➜ Apply a 2–3 cm layer of casing material.
✔️ Casing helps maintain moisture and stimulates mushroom formation.

💧 Water & Humidity
During fruiting:
➜ Maintain high humidity, around 80–90%.
➜ Keep the casing moist but do not allow standing water.

🍄 Fruiting
After casing and suitable fruiting conditions:
🌱 Small pins appear, followed by mushroom development.
⏳ First harvest is generally around 2–3 weeks after casing, depending on conditions.

✂️ Harvesting
🍄 Harvest when mushrooms are still firm and the cap is closed.
➜ Gently twist and pull the mushroom from the bed.
✔️ Clean the remaining stem/base and avoid damaging nearby pins.

📦 Crop Duration
➜ Usually around 2–3 months for several flushes.
Multiple flushes can be harvested from the same compost bed.
