Cluster beans, also known as Guar or Gawar Fali, are drought-tolerant and highly nutritious vegetables. Big pod varieties are popular for fresh market and processing. They grow well under low-input organic farming.

Best suited for warm and semi-arid climate.
Ideal temperature: 25–35°C
Tolerant to heat and dry conditions.
Sensitive to frost.
Best sowing time (India):
Kharif: June – July (main season)
Summer: February – March (with irrigation)
🌾 2. Soil Requirement
Best soil: Sandy loam to light loam soil
Grows well even in poor soils.
Soil pH: 6.0 – 8.0
Must be well-drained.
Before sowing:
Mix well-rotted cow dung compost.
Remove weeds and stones.
