• Broccoli is a nutritious cole crop, rich in vitamins, iron, calcium, protein, and vitamins A and C. It contains flavor compounds, glucosinolates, carotenoids, and sulphoraphane, potentially reducing cholesterol levels and cancer risk.

• Broccoli thrives in cool, moist climates with temperatures between 17-23°C and requires nutrient-rich, well-drained soil with organic matter.

• It yields around 70-72 q/acre.

• For agronomic practices, sow seeds in mid-August to mid-September, transplant one-month-old seedlings with a spacing of 45×45 cm, and apply manure and fertilizers.

• Weed control and irrigation are similar to cauliflower.

• Harvest sprouts when marketable, and market them promptly.
