Yellow maize is a high-demand cereal crop used for food, fodder, poultry feed, and industry. It grows well under organic and desi farming practices with proper management.

🌤️ 1. Climate Requirement
Grows best in warm climate.
Ideal temperature: 20–30°C
Sensitive to frost during early growth.
Best sowing time (India):
Kharif (main season): June – July
Rabi (with irrigation): October – November
Spring: February – April
Moderate rainfall and sunshine give better grain filling.

Best soil: Well-drained loam or sandy loam
Soil should be deep, fertile, and rich in organic matter.
Soil pH: 5.5 – 7.5
Before sowing:
Mix well-decomposed cow dung compost or FYM.
Plough soil deeply and level properly.
